#Ugh, seriously this scene just continues to prove how perfect these two are and how in sync with one another when you watch Ben’s face go from happy to concerned all within a mere snap of the fingers because he can just see by the look on Leslie’s face that something just happened and whatever it was, it is something that isn’t good, and he just KNOWS. And Leslie, you can tell she is torn because Ben has become someone so important to her but her job also is something that means the world to her, and you can see it when Ben looks at her with all this care and concern and you can see she is trying to convince not only him but also herself that this will be okay, because this is what she needs to feel so she just offers him this kind of smile but it’s not really enough but right now thats all she can do because she is Leslie Knope and there isn’t anything she can’t do. Ugh, ugh, ugh, they are so beautiful and so perfect and just this small scene pulled at my heartstrings.
Chris will fire you, and I wont be able to stop it.
Ron, we’re being very careful.
Oh President Reagan my blazer popped open.
Well, Maggie Thatcher, let me help you with that. Our countries have a very special relationship.
Okay! Yes. You’ve proved your point.
“There’s a scene in the finale where Leslie is trying very badly to cover a lie to Ron. They let Amy just go and I’m sitting there watching two and three minute takes of Amy pulling every tool out of her kit, and all I have to do is remain expressionless, which is no small feat—[it’s] so hard not to laugh at her. And I’m sitting there thinking, this is like I’m in a comedy museum.”
